Like many artists Helen D’Souza was a shy child that was not part of the “in” crowd. She spent hours on end lost in drawing, painting and making crafty things. Making art was what she loved to do.
Helen went on to study at Sheridan College School of Art + Design where she met her tribe. Since then, she has worked for over 25 years as an illustrator, her longest and most collaborative relationship has been with The American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Over the last few years Helen has been exploring a variety of new forms of artistic expression.
Helen lives a quiet life in a colourful & vibrant East End neighbourhood in the city of Toronto. Her nature fix comes from walking, observing and collecting in the urban wilderness areas close to home.
